Ward Art Gallery
Presenting #1: "I Want to Draw!  What Do I Use?"

When Trena starts with a new Student, they always ask:  "What pencil Do I use?
Why are there so many different pencils? What eraser do I use? Is this paper okay?
What  kind of easel do I buy?"

Because of these questions she created this DVD "I Want To Draw! WHAT Do I Use?"

This 40 minute DVD answers these questions. Trena goes into detail on the different types of easels
and how they are  used. Then on to different types of paper, even to showing you how the same drawing looks
different on each weight of paper.

She then takes a look at the different hardness and softness of graphite sticks and pencils. Even to showing a
value scale with the pencils. Then on to explaining and demonstrating stumps and erasers. Trena even talks about
signing your artwork and using fixatives to sealing your drawings from smudging.

Presenting #2: Basic Portrait Drawing From A Photo

One of the things in life that everyone knows best is the human face. But it is also the
scariest to draw because we know if we make a mistake we are going to look foolish.
And no one wants to feel that way.

Trena Ward thinks that is what prevents us from trying new techniques.
Drawing the human face should be the easiest for anyone  to draw because we
ARE most familiar with the features.

IF your portrait drawing doesn't have a good likeness it is because you haven't learned to SEE how to do it.
There is no need for you to re-create the wheel in this by trying to figuring it out all on your own.

All Artist take lessons from another to learn what we need to pull from our mind those wonderful paintings and
drawings we see all the time.   Because of this, Trena has created this 60 minute DVD to share with you all that
she knows on how to get a likeness. If you follow these steps that are demonstrate, your drawings will be much
better and look more like what you are drawing. These techniques will enhance your drawings on anything you
draw. Not just doing portraits AND You will really enjoy this lesson.

Along with this DVD is a CD with the jpeg files of images used for this Drawing Lesson.
